The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens is not only the opening round of the IRB Sevens World Series, but is one of the biggest social weekends of the year.Featuring 16 of the best Sevens nations in the world, the Dubai Rugby Sevens has grown into a magical sporting event that attracts fans from around the globe.

In what is truly a unique exerience, the Dubai Exiles Rugby ground is transformed into a complete sporting arena with the free-standing stadium accommodating a record 22,000 fans last year.In total, 48,000 people rolled through the gates over the three days to make it the most successful Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens ever.

And 2005 is shaping to be even bigger.From November 30 to December 2 the rugby carnival returns to Dubai for the 36th time.

It is not just the international action that makes this such a magnificent event, but the International Invitation, Gulf, Local Social, Ladies, Veterans, and Youth competitions offers an action packed three days not to be missed.

Over 150 teams and 2000 players strap on the their boots for the rugby extravaganza.

And it was England who last year took out the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens trophy honours for the first time ever, beating the flying Fijians in a thrilling final.

Away from the pitch, the Rugby Village has been expanded to cope with the increased crowd numbers and to also cater for the hugely popular

    Hey !! D’ Rebel, you forgot to metion its one of the two public events where booz is allowed.

    Last year I saw pretty nasty things in Hospitality Booths after that Harley Davidsons’ prade.
