What to do In Dubai part 1/2
Dubai is a city that offers a lot of things to do for visitors. It is the tourism captial of Aisa/ Middle East and is on a fast track to becoming the tourism captial of the world. The country is spending a lot of money on tourism infrastructure so lately we see a lot of tourists around. Dubai has the best of both the East and the West, you will find a rich eastern culture, you will also find that people who live here are mostly expatriates from all over the world creating a nice mix of different cultures, you can find foods, dresses and other stuff from all over the world. On the other hand it is probably one of the most liberal islamic states with quite a lot of clubs, concerts all the time and amazing places to eat and hang out at.
For tourists who are visting for a week or so there is a lot to do, lets see you can go on an evening desert safari or even an overnight safari can be arranged, the safari includes a ride on a 4×4 in the desert followed by dinner, sheesha and belly dancing, other things to do are dinner cruise on a dhow, city tours of dubai, sharjah and abu dhabi, there is a great water park called wild wadi which can be very refreshing in the hot weather, also the never ending beaches offer a lot of water sports like para sailing, surfing, deep sea fishing, scuba diving etc. For those of us who live here I’v heard a lot of people complain that there is not much to do, but if you look around there definately is a lot to do. I’ll cover that in the next post.
just why arent dubaiites commenting here??!!
hello sydneysider, Thanks for visiting dubai metro blog. the reason for dubaiites not visiting/commenting is because we have not officially launched yet, so people do not yet know that there is a dubai metroblog, we hope to launch this week that should get the ball rolling.
Welcome to MetroBlogging :)
Destitute Rebel, you are foegettinga bout Hatta mountain, There are many people in Dubai, like myself, who love to go outdoors and enjoy nature’s artwork.
Though, Hatta is famous for its quadbikes tracks, which i dont like at all because of noise and sand it leaves in air. But hatta is a place to visit, if somebody is not into long drives that you can get same feel by visiting Al Maha resort on Dubai-Al Ain Highway.
Hello Tanveer, Thanks for visiting the blog and commenting, no I havent forgotten about Hatta and lots of other things to do but as i said in the post there is a part 2 which will deal with mostly things for people in dubai to do hatta becomes a little long trip for our short visitors.
Destitute Rebel, Yeah I know and wonder what will be included in part 2. will wait for it.
I have another query, I dont know whether its a right place to ask or not, but what the heck!!
I would like to be part of your blog, how can I become a member, as far as I know, one need to have atleast one blog site to his credit, well sometime time back I created mine but its not active.

Hi Tanveer, I sent you an e-mail with all the details.
Hey D’ Rebel, thanks for help.
I was wondering why the link on your short bio is not working?
No Problem Tanveer, and welcome to the Dubai Metro Blogging team, About the bio, its a technical glitch I havent gotten aroung to telling then to fix it yet.
Dubai is the best place to live and see. I have always wanted to see Dubai but I have no one to go with as I am only 15 years old. what I have seen and heard about dubai through the media I think that people who live in dubai are living the life of 22nd century. I will one day (Insha-Allah)visit and explore Dubai. My advice for all of you out there is to go and check it out rather than relaxing on beech in spain. If you go check out the new man made islands and dont forget to got to wild wadi water park to experience water rides and other things.
