See I was right you can be one hell of a tour guide ;)

Can you tell me how much they charge for sky diving or is their any condition to it, like medical fitness or insurance etc. I once talked to some guy in Fujairah Aviation, named Mubashir, they give flying lessons but not sky diving.

Well I suffered for a year when I got to Dubai and I did’nt know anyone, It took a lot of hard work to find about a lot of these things as stuff like skydiving, and paintball are not advertised at all and no one knows about them, even the shooting club at umm al quain is not known to people. So yes i’v sort of become a tour guide in fact I’m thinking it seems like good business to get into.

About the sky diving, unless you get the licence which costs AED 6000 (including 8 jumps). you can only jump tandem (1200 Ft with an instructor attached to you) which costs AED 800, the only requirement for a tandem jump is weight around 200 pounds. you can get detailed information about Sky diving and flying by contacting Umm Al Qwain Aero Club at 06-7681447

    Hello Ibrahim,
I do not think that any educational requirements exist to apply for a PPL or even a CPL although they will test you on computation skills and other requirements during your training process. I do not know the exact requirements but you can contact Umm Al Quwain Aeroclub at
    tel: 971-6-7681447
    Fax: 971-6-7681393
    email :

    Hope this helps.
