Dubai is turning out to be a wonderful place to visit, the government is marketing as a tourist heaven, Good weather and lot of money being spent on infrastructure and development is turning it into a great place but at what cost. The casual visitor to dubai sees the sights and sounds, the grand hotels and unique waterpark. They see big corporate sponsored events and say wow what a wonderful place. I was the same way when i came here first but you get to see the real picture when you’v strayed off the beaten path. Dubai and UAE for that matter has to go a long way before it can be counted amongst responsible nations, It is counted amongst the richest nations but most of the people working here building this nation are paid peanuts. An example would be room service employees at 5 star hotels get paid aprox 250 dollars / month, in hotels that charge 300-600$ a night for the room. While browsing today I accidently stumbled upon an interesting website that is trying to expose the problem.
