Now, just SMS your complaints to police
From Khaleej Times: Al Ameen service launched by Dubai Police in 2003 to receive public complaints and refer them to the authorities concerned has been enhanced by a new free SMS facility that became available at the beginning of the current year.
The new facility will ease communication with Al Ameen service by enabling messages to be sent from mobile phones by punching the number 4444, or calling the toll free number 8004888 or by transmitting to the fax number 04-2097777 or through the email alameen@eim. The Directorate-General Department will solve all types of disputes whether it is related to security or financial problems in collaboration with the authorities concerned.
The electronic programme is designed to give complainants psychological satisfaction that they can provide confidential information about any negative behaviour in society.
The department has organised an awareness campaign about the services in different government departments and at exhibitions held in the city’s public parks, Dubai Media City and Dubai International Airport.
