Earthquake?

There are reports for some (dodgy) sources that there have been very mild tremors felt in Bur Dubai / Jebel Ali a few minutes ago… Anyone else felt anything??

Didn’t feel anything, but the USGS is reporting a 5.9 magnitude quake in Southern Iran at 11.00am local time this morning.

I also heard that there were some tremors just a while ago. I even saw some people rushing out of buildings at Bank Street. Things are quite normal in our building though and there is no panic or evacuation.

I guess the commotion has died down now.

I for one, did not feel anything.

Yep, felt it. Not as strong as the previous one in November. Some building on Sheikh Zayed Road were evacuated. We stood on the ground for an hour or so before going back up. There was nothing on the radio. After some googling, we found that there were 2 earthquakes in Iran about 4.5 on the richter.

I think that it is becoming a norm. Unless the building shake to the point that windows break or stuff start falling, there’s no reason to panic.
