Dewa bill payments by mobile phone soon
Etisalat subscribers will soon be able to pay their utility bills through mobile phones.
The move is part of the telecom service provider’s efforts to retain its customer base as the UAE’s second operator du prepares to launch its services this year.
Etisalat is in the final stages of negotiations with Dewa on introduction of the new service through mobile phones and the internet.
Some banks offer online utility bill payments. Etisalat’s move will help more subscribers use the latest technology.
Etisalat, with 4.7 million subscribers, is planning to create new promotions for professional groups.
It intends to divide its subscribers into segments based on the talk time they utilise and offer services which specifically address their needs.
