Congratulations ! Mabrook

Sheikh Mohammed bagged the individual silver medal and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, finished in third position to earn a bronze medal.
The victorious UAE endurance team led by Sheikh Mohammed comprised Sheikh Hamdan, Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum and Sheikh Rashid Dalmook Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Mohammed riding Ciel Oriental was the cynosure of all eyes as he made a triumphant return to international competition.

EID AL-FITR Shawal 01 1431 (Sept. 10 2010)

Justice Minister Dr Hadef Jouan Al Dhahiri announced Wednesday evening that Thursday will be the 30th day of the Holy month of Ramadan and the Eid Al Fitr will be observed on Friday, September 10.

Addressing a press conference at the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi, the minister said that the observation of the evening sky did not establish the sighting the crescent moon marking the beginning of Shawwal. Necessary investigations and communication with the neighboring countries were made to determine the beginning of Shawal, he added.

Beginning of Ramadan as well as Shawal months should be established by actual sighting of the crescent moon according to the Islamic tradition

The minister wished the rulers and people of UAE prosperous Eid and prayed to God for peace and prosperity in every part of the world.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar will also celebrate Eid Al Fitr on Friday.

The Eid prayer timings for the various emirates are: Abu Dhabi – 6.21am, Dubai – 6.30am and Sharjah – 6.25am.

The General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments has concluded preparations for Eid Al Fitr prayers. The Executive Director of Islamic Affairs, Mohammed Obeid Al Mazroui, said the authority had allocated 696 musallas and mosques all over the UAE for the prayers.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will offer Eid prayer on Friday at the Grand Eid Mussala in Dubai.

In Sharjah, His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, will perform the prayer at Al Badee Mussala. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler, sheikhs and senior officials will perform the prayer along with Sheikh Sultan. Sharjah Ruler will receive well-wishers on the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

Eid prayer will also be offered by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah at the Grand Eid Mussala in Fujairah.

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain will perform Eid prayer at the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Umm Al Quwain.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman will perform the prayer at the Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Mussala in Ajman.

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces will be offering the prayer at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. He will receive well-wishers on the first day of Eid Al Fitr.

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah will offer prayer at Khuzam Mosque.

a clear Divide – Human rights Violation

The Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal ministries and departments will start from Wednesday 29th of Ramadan, (September 8) until the third of Shawwal 1431 Hijri year (September 12). – Because 85% employees are Local from Emirates.

The Eid Al Fitr holiday (paid holiday) for private sector will be on the first and second of Shawwal 1431 Hijri year, according to a ministerial circular issued by the Minister of Labour . Because rest of the people non-locals and are EXPATRIATES

UAE private sector workers should get bonus and in-lieu holiday from their employers if they are made to work during the upcoming Eid Al Fitr, – who will track the payment of bonuses???

EID al Fitr is muslim festive day at the end of Ramadan, All muslims are equal and shall be treated equal by the Rulers, – at the sametime UAE Rulers shall look after their non-muslim residents with great hospitality and tolerence on the festive days of 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shawwal, the EID days

Blackberry or Husband

In Gulf a Policeman physically abused his wife with a whip and a sharp object. Later the woman went to police station & complained and filed for Divorce.  As we all know MEN is a SUPERMAN, in GULF States, and that too a policeman, he was summoned by his Police brethern and inquired about charges, – He admitted of what his wife has said, attributing it to’ My WIFE is MORE INTERESTED IN HER BLACK BERRY’ then ME her husband.

The unidentified police captain in the eastern port city used a whip to lash his wife and a sharp object to hit her on the head before she was transferred to hospital for treatment, a report said.

“She then went to the police and filed a complaint…when her husband was summoned and asked whey he attacked her, he said he did so because she is more interested in her Blackberry handset than him,” the report said.

The wife has also filed for divorce and is awaiting court procedures. Her husband reacted by expelling her from home and depriving her from seeing her children.
